Our establishment
AL SUR is a lovely, 2 star hotel on the border between Murcia and Almería, in the town of Calabardina, in the municipality of Águilas, Murcia. Located on a gentle hill, dominating the coast of Calabardina, and the Cape Cope and Calnegre Parks, the HOTEL AL AUR is a place where time passes like fruit falling from the tree. Our hotel is recognised as being one of the cosiest hotels on the coast and it is famous for the feeling of well being it offers our guests. Our staff of 3 will look after every detail to make this feeling all the more evident. The building, built in 1998, is a typical white, Mediterranean style house with blue doors and windows and its location, perpendicular to Cape Cope, means it is an ideal spot for watching the sunrise or sunset over the Mediterranean.

Rooms
The HOTEL AL SUR can accommodate a total of 16 people in 8 double rooms. Each room is decorated in a different colour and with light, fresh cottons. All rooms are doubles and have a full bathroom. They are also equipped with: - Telephone. - Television. - Hair dryer.
Other facilities
Our guests can enjoy our lounge, which has a capacity for 20 people, where they can listen to music, read books or just sit before the open fireplace in the winter. The hotel also has a beautiful terrace with impressive views over the sea and the cactus garden, where you can read quietly or, as the motto of the house says, "do nothing and then relax". There are also wide green areas and outdoor parking for our guests.
Useful tourist information
From the open spaces of the hotel you can see Tiñoso a Águilas Cape, la Azohía, Mazarrón, Percheles, Puntas de Calnegre, la Torre de Cope, Arroz bay and the island of Fraile, together with the sierra Almenara mountains which make up the horizon.
From the HOTEL AL SUR you can make various outings to the surrounding places of interest, such as Águilas, 7 kms away, and its XVI century castle. It is a quiet, fishing town famous for its carnivals. You can visit the old mineral loading machinery on the Hornillo beach.
On the border with Almería, only 4 kms from Águilas, you will find the natural landscape of Cuatro Calas, with its crystal clear waters.
And 40 kms away you will find Lorca, another interesting city notable for its castle and various baroque buildings from the XVII and XVIII centuries, together with its embroidery museums. Lorca is particularly well-known for its Easter Week celebrations, which we recommend to all out guests.
